This one may sound a little scary at first because we tend to shop where we’re most comfortable. But if your goal is to add new life to your look, then now’s the time to try something new.
And let’s up the ante even more: try on 5 items you’ve never thought of wearing in the past. Relax! You don’t have to buy them, but you may surprise yourself and find an item or two that look fabulous on you and reflect those new ‘inspiration words’ you came up with in Kick-Start #4.
Walk into the
new store with an open mind, but if you’re especially nervous try several until you find one that has an atmosphere and sales people that appeal to you. It’s different for everyone – some people love an austere, ‘hands-off’ atmosphere and others love a warm, cozy vibe. The point is that the store should be one that you don’t shop in all the time and that pushes your own particular comfort zone just a bit. New challenges = new results!
