“Wear Your Space Like a Beautiful Garment”

Doesn’t that call up a lovely visual in your mind? I wish I could take credit for it, but my thanks goes to a lovely woman I met at a dinner last night by the name of Gay. She and I got into a conversation about wardrobe and image and, as a former performance artist, she definitely embodied this statement. I’m sorry I didn’t get a photo of her to share with you, but don’t we all know people who ‘wear their space’ beautifully? They don’t necessarily have to be physically wearing anything unusual, but whatever they are wearing, is worn with such ‘ownership’ and such presence, that the space around them creates an attraction – you just have to look and admire.

I shared with her one of my favorite blogs, Advanced Style, and those ladies (and sometimes men) that wear their space so well. And of course, The Sartorialist always captures lovely examples of people on the street who do the same. Here are a few examples for you to enjoy…do you feel inspired?
