Asking For Help #4: Even the Pro’s Do It!

You know it’s true – at least, you hope it’s true! You wouldn’t want to go to a hairstylist that never took professional courses to fine-tune her skills, and you certainly wouldn’t want to go to a doctor or dentist who didn’t stay current with the latest advancements in medicine.  The same is true for virtually every pro you work with – your car mechanic, your plumber, your vet, etc.

woman giving presentationThe point is – if the professionals you hire every day seek education to better themselves, why shouldn’t you seek help when it comes to your wardrobe?  And when it comes to image professionals – we seek help too. Help in the form of education on an ongoing basis through our professional organization – the Association of Image Consultants International. In fact, I’ll be attending our annual San Francisco Bay Area chapter Education Conference for the next three days – fine-tuning my knowledge on cultural styles and etiquette at the international level and in social media, new ways to look at the use of color, tips for looking great on-camera (who couldn’t use this?!), styling guidance for women of every generation, and of course, business-building tips for our current economic client.

I’ll be sharing some of that great new information with you in the upcoming days and weeks. We’ll all benefit – so stay tuned.
