We women are such experts at “doing” for others, aren’t we? We may start the day with the best of intentions to take better care of ourselves – get up a little earlier…meditate… exercise…shower… get dressed/do make-up…. Whoops! Even if we did the first four items on the list (and often we don’t), we are sometimes stymied at that last grouping of ‘getting dressed/do make-up’. I mean, of course you ‘get dressed’, unless you live in a nudist camp. But that process of getting dressed often turns into just throwing on your sweats or yoga pants and a t-shirt, and jumping into the many demands of the day.
Before you know it, it’s 3 o’clock and you need to run to the grocery, so off you go ‘as is’ and who do you run into but the head of the PTA, or the boss’s wife, or that potential new client you were going to meet with tomorrow, or…or…or. Let’s face it, the days of throwing on lip gloss, jeans and a tee, and dashing out the door looking great are probably long gone unless you’re still in your 20’s. (If you are in your 20’s, pay attention because you’ll want to file this away for future reference!)
Often that haphazard process of getting dressed/doing make-up is a result of a poorly organized closet, or a lack of well-planned wardrobe, or an out-dated style of make-up for who you are now. You owe it to yourself to take care of you. You’ll save time, energy and needless anxiety if you work with a professional to get yourself pulled together. Whether you head to an office every day or work in your home – you owe it to yourself to look your best, with ease.
