Even with all the fabulous colors we’ve got to choose from this spring/summer, I still think white is one of the best ‘go-to’ colors there is. Apparently Gwyneth Paltrow thought so too when she wore that stunningly elegant gown at the Oscars. Check out her thoughts HERE about her whole Oscar-prep day, including dress, jewelry, and french fries (I kid you not!)
I recently prepared a little ‘cheat-sheet’ for my clients on various ways they could incorporate several of the more popular trends into their wardrobes, based on their own style and inclination. One of those trends was white. For example:
The LWD (little white dress): you’ve probably got at least one LBD in your wardrobe, but have you considered white? You can find them in the stores in fluid fabrics, lace or even more structured fabrications. Check out this one by Calvin Klein at Nordstrom.
Brighten up your step with white flats. They add a classic touch to any casual outfit, whether jeans, khakis or the popular colored jeans we’re seeing everywhere. I love these by Etienne Aigner at Zappos.
Try a white handbag (but not with your white flats!) It’s a great accent to all the colors we’re wearing now and will set you apart from the crowd. Ivanka Trump makes a great hobo (also at Zappos – I’m a little stuck on that site at the moment.
It’s hard not to -they have everything, plus free return shipping!)
Of course, the perennial white blouse is a classic for the spring/summer season. I’m personally looking for a slim-cut tunic-length version. This one by Akris Punto at Saks may do the trick.
How will you do white this season?
