Spring Cleaning – Tee Time

It’s such a cliché – but it’s also so true. Spring is when we more easily think about cleaning, purging, starting fresh. I recently helped a new client re-evaluate her wardrobe – specifically her everyday, around-the-house wardrobe that she, as a stay-at-home mom, wanted to spruce up.  The steps we took weren’t revolutionary, but sometimes we all need a little reminder to give us the ‘kick start’ we need.  First…

*Let’s talk Tees…we all have them, whether they are white, black, logo-ed or not.  I love a plain white (and black too) tee to layer under blazers, sweaters or whatever, but they almost always need replacing on a yearly basis, simply because repeated washings tend to dull them down. As far as all the other tees in the closet (we’re talking basic tees here)? Keep a few for washing the car, working in the garden, etc., but get rid of all the excess. It’s amazing how they accumulate during the year(s) – they take up space in the closet and they generally don’t add value to your wardrobe. And after all, how many tees does one person need? Step #1 one: toss the tired tees!
