for Fall – we’ve talked about columns of neutrals, accents of fur, and the rich jewel tones that abound. Here are a few more that you can embrace in your own way – let me know if you need help with them:
Lovely Lace...and as you’ll see in the photo below, it’s not just in black. You can go full-out in a dress or skirt (as does new style icon, Kate Middleton), but if that’s not your cup of tea, you can also just use it in accents. I’ve seen some great shoes in a lace-accented pattern, lace tops and of course, tights in a very pretty lace pattern.
Crusading for Capes…or ponchos. Whether you wear it in a sweater or coat version, the cape/poncho is everywhere. It’s a great outerwear option, and allows more freedom of movement than your ordinary jacket.
Popular Plaids…and we’re not talking flannel shirts, although if that’s what fits in your casual lifestyle, go for it. Just don’t be sloppy – keep it close-fit and tucked in, maybe layer a polo shirt underneath and a vest on top? Plaids also take a sophisticated turn – you decide how far you want to go.
